Space Day presented by Children’s Museum of Idaho
This is a dream for those that want to learn more about space, flight, science and life as an astronaut. The day will offer space themed hands-on activities, two planetarium shows, solar telescope, robotic demonstrations, BSU’s AstroTAC team, plus fun activities for families and children of all ages.
An exclusive opportunity to meet Astronauts Steve Swanson and Barbara Morgan
12:30-1:00pm – Astronaut Steve Swanson has flown two shuttle flights and one Soyuz flight, all to the International Space Station. He has logged over 195 days in space and completed five space walks totaling 28 hours. Steve will make an appearance and presentation about his time in space.

2:00-2:30pm Barbara Morgan is a retired NASA astronaut and veteran educator. Back in
1985, she was the public-school teacher from McCall, Idaho, who trained with the Challenger crew as the backup for Teacher in Space Christa McAuliffe. She flew on space shuttle Endeavour in 2007 to help construct the International Space Station, travelling 5.3 million miles and logging over 305 hours in space.
