New design, senior friendly!

NAMPA, ID. (September 21, 2020) – Spectra the providers of Venue Management at the Nampa Civic Center holds the 14th Annual Senior Fair, from 8am-12pm on October 10th. The design of the event has changed in order to provide senior citizens a safe way to attend the event with social distancing measures through a curb side service set up. Senior Fair is a health and wellness expo focused on senior citizens in the community and their families. This event is FREE to the public. Because the event has been a large support to seniors in the community, Nampa Civic Center Facility Director, James Brown did not want to see it perish this year with other events that have been demolished by the pandemic. “We have never seen anything like what happened in the past few months. Now more than ever we need to take care of our senior population. They need to be safe, protected, and yet keep going with their lives. Seniors still need to be able to get important information through these challenging times. We had to keep Senior Fair going”.

Attendees are still going to be able to come and visit with vendors who will help them sort out their questions and concerns regarding insurance, healthy living, finances, home care, assisted living, future planning and more. This year it’s going to look different as a curbside service. Seniors will drive up to the event and get their free tote full of information and goodies. Then they can park in a designated parking area and request the vendors they would like to meet with. Each vendor will come out and meet with the seniors in the parking lot, where the senior citizens can stay safely in their vehicles.

Nampa Civic Center staff is looking forward to having a safe and healthy Senior Fair event.
