Get ready for a great night of entertainment with special guests, Bill Dempsey Young with his comedic style on “Boy Named Sue,” the darling Jeanne Marie Jacobson as June Carter and other guests setting the stage for an evening filled with the great songs of Johnny Cash. The show includes popular songs like, “Walk the Line”, “Folsom Prison Blues” and “Ring of Fire”.

Whether they are headlining a summer concert series for over 10,000 people, or performing for one special person, they strive to inspire and uplift any environment they are in, thus touching people’s hearts and making them smile. This show includes a special Salute to Military Veterans in honor of those who have provided us freedoms and those who continuously fight for them.

This concert wraps up their two week “We Share the Gift” tour, entertaining at incarcerated facilities and juvenile correctional institutes in Idaho. Entertaining inmates, chaplains and Correctional Officers with their message and music, spreading the word of what it is to “share the gift”. Tour locations in Idaho will include facilities such as the South Boise Women’s Correctional Institute, the CAPP Correctional Institute, the Idaho State Correctional Center and many others including facilities in Eastern Idaho.

Their service to military veterans, homeless and incarcerated brothers and sisters all have one thing in common, human connection. Drewin Young, frontman and leader of Walking Phoenixes believes “we are all here on this earth to share our gifts with the world so we can help others.” The We Share the Gift Tour sheds light on how people can find and use their unique gifts to help others in need while fulfilling their own true purpose. During their tour they have witnessed various organizations and people doing extraordinary things to share their gift and have documented these events through a filmed documentary called “We Share the Gift”. From Mesothelioma motorcycle runs, “job awareness” charities for our U.S. Veterans, life care centers for the aging, to prisons, they are in fact a flower of light in a field of darkness.

Locally, Walking Phoenixes have joined the Nampa Chamber of Commerce in efforts to invest in an ongoing relationship with the community. They have also teamed up with Boyd Chikatulah (CEO) of 3 Oaks Ministry in Boise, to bring joy and entertainment to both the men’s and women’s prisons as well as juvenile correctional institutions. Their goal in these facilities is to “share the gift” by performing special concerts that meet people at various walks of life.

Reviews and comments:

“Many inmates were blessed by your visit and I can say you left a huge imprint. For many of the Prisoners, such events are the ones that help them serve their time well and fill them with home and foresight and anticipation of release”. – Boyd Chikatulah (CEO) – 3 Oaks Ministry
