This larger community event is designed to inspire families, consumers, farmers, business owners, and local leaders to think differently about food. Where does it come from? Who grows it? What kind of food system are we supporting with our dollars? And what would it look like for our community to take local food more seriously?

Joel is known for challenging conventional thinking with humor, conviction, and practical wisdom. This evening program will be an opportunity to hear his perspective on farming, food freedom, personal responsibility, and the importance of rebuilding strong local food economies.
