Scorpion Entertainment brings the next tribute concert to the Nampa Civic Center on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 7:30pm in the Banquet Rooms and Saturday, August
21, 2021 at 7:30pm in the Theater. The concert, titled Jukebox Rock is a dynamic tribute to the 5o‘s & 60’s starring Linwood Sasser performing as the Big Bopper and Sting Ray Anthony, featuring a special, one-of-a-kind tribute to The Latin Rocker, Ritchie Valens.

Linwood has always been a little bit big and boppin’ seems to be what he does the best. Linwood has performed as The Big Bopper, since 2008 and is the only entertainer officially authorized by the J. P. Richardson Estate. You may have also seen him perform as Jake Blues in the Blues Brothers Show, at Universal Studios Florida, throughout the 1990’s until 2001.

Linwood Sasser graduated from the Florida State University School of Theater a long time ago, in a state far, far away. He has been directed by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Bobcat Goldthwait. Linwood sported a very Bopperesque crew cut in “The 50’s Wake Up”, a national commercial for J.C. Penney, starring Ellen Degeneres.

Sting Ray brings his original Tribute to Rock ‘n’ Roll as valuable member of The Winter Dance Party tribute show with his unparalleled tribute to Ritchie Valens, and well respected in his own right as a versatile singer, phenomenal guitarist, musician, and song writer.

With an endorsement from Ritchie Valens’ family, two proclamations from the city of Los Angeles, for keeping the memory of Ritchie Valens alive, and the title of “Branson’s Best Local Entertainer” as voted by Branson’s 417 Magazine.

Sting Ray has his delighted audiences up on their feet dancing, and he “rocks the house” wherever he performs – whether it be in Branson, Missouri at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater with Bobby Vee, Fabian, Danny and The Juniors, Chris Montez, Johnny Preston, Bill Medley and Diamond Dave Somerville, lead singer of the original Diamonds – or on tour throughout North America with the renowned Winter Dance Party, playing to rave reviews and standing ovations.
