Local pianist brings ragtime and bluegrass to the Civic Center

NAMPA, ID, Jan. 31  – Internationally acclaimed pianist Sean Rogers comes to the Nampa Civic Center with a high energy versatile performance Friday, March 10, at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $26. Purchase tickets by calling 208-468-5555 or visiting the official ticket website www.ictickets.com.

Rogers is comfortable in many genres of music bringing versatility to the Civic Center’s Theater on one special night in March.  He grabs the audience’s attention with genres of ragtime music, jazz and Broadway throughout the program.  The production has a certain nostalgia of a Prairie Home Companion as he performs with Idaho progressive bluegrass band, Chicken Dinner Road.  This show brings together visual and musical delights in marvelous ways.

Rogers accepted his first job playing the organ for a church at the age of 8. He has directed over 100 opera and musical theatre productions.  He was the general music director and resident conductor of the Utah and Idaho Performing Arts Company in Salt Lake City. Rogers is currently on staff at Opera Idaho and is a full-time touring musician.

The Nampa Civic Center brings the community performing arts programs that are performed in a professional house, promising wonderful variety.
